The last few days have thankfully been a lot better and I haven't had nearly as much morning sickness. I feel like I am starting to get the hang of when and what to eat to make sure I'm feeling ok and not getting sick. I'm still really tired but I'll happily take that over nauseous.
Today was our 9 week appointment and I was really nervous about it. I felt just like I did when I went in at 5 weeks..."what if I'm not really pregnant and just plain crazy...am I imagining all this?" You have to admit it is kind of strange to think there's a baby in there, when sometimes I think I just have the swine flu...haha.
But once again they confirmed that I actually am pregnant (duh) and everything looks great! We had our ultrasound first and it was awesome to see our little baby (count that...1 and only 1, thank you lord) swimming around! We were shocked at how much you could make out this early. We saw a head and 2 arm buds and 2 leg buds. It was moving its arms all around and David swore it waved to us on the screen. The little heart was beating at 160 and looked like a fast blinking light. We could actually hear it really really well! It measured about an inch and you could still hear it loud and clear. It definitely felt more real after that (especially for David) and I am starting to get more and more excited now that everything looks good and I can relax a little.
After that we met with the doctor and I had some blood drawn and we made another appointment in 4 weeks. The next ultrasound should be at the appointment after that around 18 weeks where we will try to determine the sex.
Here is our ultrasound picture...it is definitely not as clear as what we saw on the screen...it looks more like a blob. Plus this is a picture of a picture so it's not the best but I wanted to post it.

Here I am at 9 weeks. Not much to see but my pants are getting a little tighter around the waist. By the way my shirt says Botulism because it is a botox shirt I got from work that I wore under my scrubs.

I did find a picture online of what a 9 week baby looks like.

Now I'm home and getting packed to head out of town Saturday and Sunday with David's family for a wedding. David left this afternoon for Tuscaloosa where the first home game means the start of a busy season for the other parking company. He'll be there all weekend for all home games but I'll be going with him for some of the games.
